Client-Side Privacy Standard

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 14, 2026 • Effective Date: January 1, 2026

Our Zero-Telemetry Commitment to Your Network Architecture

All IP addresses, subnet masks, CIDR blocks, and network configurations entered into our calculators are processed 100% locally in your web browser using client-side JavaScript. We do not transmit, log, record, or store your private network architectures, RFC 1918 addresses, or subnets on our servers.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Unlike conventional web utilities that transmit form data to server backends for processing, SubnetCalculator.org performs all algorithmic calculations locally. When you use our:

  • IP Subnet Calculator (IPv4 & IPv6)
  • CIDR Prefix and Netmask Converters
  • Subnet Partitioning & Splitter Tools
  • VLSM (Variable Length Subnet Masking) Planner
  • Supernet and Wildcard Mask Converters

None of your input variables, calculated host ranges, or network topologies ever leave your local device.

2. Information We Automatically Collect (Website Analytics)

To maintain service reliability, optimize site performance, and monitor usage trends across different web browsers, we use industry-standard web analytics:

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

We utilize Google Analytics (Measurement ID: G-28J8VD43HW) to gather aggregated, anonymized metrics such as browser type, operating system, referring URL, time spent per page, and general geographic location (country/city level). IP anonymization is active by default. No personally identifiable information (PII) is transmitted to or stored by Google Analytics.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

SubnetCalculator.org does not use marketing cookies, tracking beacons, or invasive fingerprinting. The only cookies utilized on this site are:

  • Analytical Cookies: First-party cookies set by Google Analytics to distinguish unique website sessions.
  • Local Browser Storage: Optional browser localStorage used solely to retain user visual interface preferences (such as collapsed accordion states or protocol tabs).

You can disable cookies entirely through your browser preferences at any time without degrading the functionality of any calculator on this site.

4. Third-Party Content Delivery & CDNs

To ensure lightning-fast global asset delivery and typographic consistency, we load external font stylesheets via Google Fonts (Inter, Plus Jakarta Sans, JetBrains Mono). When your browser requests these resources, Google may receive standard HTTP request headers, including your public IP address and browser user-agent.

5. Compliance with Global Privacy Regulations (GDPR & CCPA)

Because we do not collect personal accounts, user profiles, emails, or store client-side calculation inputs, we adhere by design to the principles of Data Minimization mandated by the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

  • We do not sell, rent, or trade user data.
  • We do not profile individual users for advertising purposes.
  • Users have the full right to browse anonymously or with ad/tracker blockers enabled.

6. Updates to this Policy

We may periodically review and revise this Privacy Policy to reflect technical enhancements or regulatory changes. Any modifications will be posted directly to this page with an updated revision date.

7. Contacting Us

If you have questions, feedback, or concerns regarding our privacy practices, please contact us via our Contact Us page or email us directly at privacy@subnetcalculator.org.
